American Legion MIA Post 231 Lake Texoma, is pleased to announce that Billy Teague, Founding Father of the "Texoma Hero", has joined our ranks and at our January meeting was elected as our new Chaplain.

**********IMPORTANT NOTICE**********
The mail system we use to distribute the monthly calendar and other information crashed and we lost more than half of our email database.
At the last meeting of the American Legion, we decided to do away with this system and start sending out the calendar and other info via text messages.
We will be downloading phone numbers from all our members from the MyLegion database that have their number listed, and getting the American Legion Auxiliary listing from them and start sending test messages out soon.
If you are a Legion or SAL member and do not receive a text in January get with Adjutant Winters to ensure we have your phone number. If you are an American Legion Auxiliary member get with Secretary Cathy Griffith and make sure she has your correct phone number,
These text messages will be a one way message. You will not be able to reply to them and/or get numerous other messages from them.
We will post messages on the facebook page and the website al231.com when we send the 1st message out.
We will still post the Calendar and flyers on the website and the Facebook page.
